Townsend Rally is moving forward for July 8, sponsored with Townsend 4H

Small delegation going to Boston to meet with Representatives about NAIS.

Congressman Rice will carry message a meeting with Congressman Olver.

An effort will be made to have an informational meeting with all the House of Representative
Members who are willing to listen to the "other side of the NAIS story."

Congressman Rice will call Commission Gillespie (MDAR) and ask why MA laws are more onerous than the USDA proposed laws.

More education and media attention is needed. An informational meeting may be held in Pepperell with area horse owners. Horses are included in NAIS. This is not an issue about pets vs. livestock. From the USDA's viewpoint, horses are an exportable protein source.
